Their food truck journey began in 1998 when Elena and Razvan Vasi arrived in America from Romania for the very first time. After juggling various jobs, they stumbled upon their true passion – cooking. At the time, Elena worked at a coffee house in the Prudential Center, and Razvan was employed at a restaurant in the North End. It was their shared love for preparing delicious dishes that sparked the idea of starting a food truck.
In the year 2000, their vision came to life as they built their very first food truck, which they named “Food of Boston.” Fast forward 19 years later, and their culinary passion had only intensified. They dreamt of opening a café, but their plans were abruptly halted by the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the setback did not diminish their unwavering dedication to the world of food.
In response to the changing circumstances, they rekindled the idea of operating a food truck. With renewed enthusiasm, they embarked on the journey of designing and constructing a larger and more refined version of their original food truck. This endeavor marked the birth of Eggcelent Cafe.
